The tale of two contrary siblings
There were two siblings: Marijuana and hemp. Back in the 1800s, people admired both of them.
Hemp was a multi-talented guy! It helped people with ropes, textiles, papers, edibles, and a lot more useful stuff. CBD— the non-psychoactive element— ran within it as blood ran in people.
Marijuana, on the other hand, was a little naughtier personality. People would have it to have euphoric-universal trips without paying for their interstellar suits. THC, the psychoactive element, was the spirit animal of Marijuana. It gave the cannabis plant the free-spirit audacity it was known for!
Soon, the notoriety of Marijuana broke out like a wildfire. But unfortunately, both the siblings were stomped down by the authorities. Hemp had to bear the consequences of sins of Marijuana for eight decades until The Farm Bill Law showed up. Imagine being jailed for eight decades for the crime that it never committed? The worst is: getting charged for its sibling's misdoing.
But hemp had other plans. And so did CBD oil.
Finally, after years of battle— hemp was acquitted in 2018. It made sure the consumption of CBD products without being charged for felony or misdoing. Authorities decided to crown back hemp because CBD extracts were THC free– it meant that you could have it without getting high.
Years of research and clinical conduct on CBD showed that it was a risk-free hemp component, and had very different properties than THC. And we're finally in 2020 now, where CBD is one of the vital medicinal components for overall health and well-being.
We can't continue to blame CBD for the wrongdoings of THC.
We interchangeably use THC with CBD as they both are derived from the cannabis family. But as mentioned— CBD doesn't toxicate. And THC does. While CBD takes care of your well-being, THC is used for recreational purposes.
It's tempting to blame CBD for the THC's misdeeds, but it wouldn't change the fact that CBD heals. But it wouldn't also help if you're looking forward to having CBD to get you to places— good luck trying because CBD is just another natural pain and stress reliever— not a euphoric fuel.
CBD oil, THC-free— what does the new rule say?
THC free CBD oil doesn't necessarily mean your oil should be free of THC. The new rule allows you to have not more than 0.3% of THC in any CBD product. Under US federal law, anything above that gets you high. And that's a pardonable but penalty-inviting offense.
CBD oil is working on you. Not feeling high doesn't mean it's ineffective.
If you have bought CBD to have the 'feels' and 'moods' of THC, you've got it with the wrong intent. Unfortunately, it's not a replacement for THC. It doesn't get you high. But the good part is— it's working on you. Not feeling high is not the sign of its inefficacy.
